Per official NIH data covering 2016-2020, these are the 10 states where Americans–regardless of age!–died at the greatest rates from cancer.
Let’s take a look:
Of the top 10, all 10 are Republican-run states–perfect laboratories of Republican environmental, workplace and public health policies in action.

So what about the 10 states with the lowest age-adjusted cancer death rates?
At least 7 of the 10 are Democratic states. And if you count Arizona as blue–which it now is–then it’s 8 out of 10.

Maybe–just maybe–enacting common sense rules governing pollution, workplace safety and public health policy actually has a real impact on preventing Americans from getting and surviving cancer.
